How to Turn Off Doorbell Sound in Zoom

Zoom has become a popular tool for online meetings and classes. However, virtual meeting productivity can be disrupted with distracting noises such as doorbell chimes when someone enters and exits the meeting. These notification sounds can be turned off easily within Zoom’s settings. We'll show you how to do it step by step. With a few simple changes, you can create a productive and peaceful meeting space on Zoom.

Turn off Zoom Doorbell in Settings

Go to zoom.us and sign into your account.  Once you’ve logged in, click on “settings” on the left hand side to manage your account’s settings.

Within the settings window, click on the button that says “In Meeting (Basic)”.

In the “In Meeting (Basic)” settings, find the setting that says “Sound notification when someone joins or leaves.”  Click the button so that it is in the off position.

Next time you start a new meeting, the doorbell sounds should be disabled as people join.
