How to Sign “Sandwich” in Sign Language

Whether you’re having a sandwich at a work function, at the deli, or just a simple PB&J, now you’ll know the sign for sandwich!

Signing “Sandwich”

  1. Hand shape: Start with your hands in a “closed-5” handshape, with thumbs bent, facing your body.
  2. Hand location: Bring your hands in front of your body at about chest level. Place your dominant hand in between your non-dominant thumb and index finger.
  3. Movement: Tap your dominant hand against your non-dominant hand twice.
  4. Facial expression: Keep a neutral facial expression.
