How to Sign “Chocolate” in Sign Language

Picture yourself in a cozy café with friends, sharing a platter of decadent desserts. In settings like a chocolate tasting event or a confectionery shop, being able to sign "chocolate" helps create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone, regardless of hearing ability, can fully enjoy and participate in the sweet experience.

Signing “Chocolate”

  1. Hand shape: Start with your dominant hand in a “C” handshape. Form your non-dominant hand into an “S” handshape, palm down.
  2. Hand location: Bring your hands in front of your body at about chest level. Place your dominant “C” on top of non-dominant “S.”
  3. Movement: Move your dominant “C” in a circular motion.
  4. Facial expression: Keep a neutral facial expression.
