How to Sign “Calm” in Sign Language

Being calm can feel like floating on a serene lake, and did you know that studies have shown that gazing at water can actually induce a meditative state?

Signing “Calm”

  1. Hand shape: Start with your hands in a “5” handshape.
  2. Hand location: Bring your hands in front of your body at about chest level, palms face down.
  3. Movement: Slowly bring both hands down at the same time once.
  4. Facial expression: Make sure your face looks peaceful and relaxed. You might even show a slight smile.
